Atradius is looking for a strong, connecting, and guiding Senior Manager Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture. A visionary leader dedicated to elevating the Process design and business & enterprise architecture profession by enhancing its standards and practices. As a seasoned Sr. Manager Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture, through your team of professionals you are responsible for optimizing business & enterprise architecture and processes for efficiency and effectiveness. You have an excellent understanding of enterprise architecture (especially with the business architecture aspect of enterprise architecture) and process design (including applying / implementing Lean, Six Sigma). Your teams documents and shapes the business enterprise architecture and details business processes. This means that you oversee the quality, on-time delivery of your teams deliverables. Your team participates in projects guarding the overall direction of the business architecture and processes. You ensure compliance with best practices and guarantee consistent deliverables.
In addition to overseeing the company Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture practice, you will manage and mentor a team of approximately 10 internal business enterprise architects and process designers. Nurturing their professional development and fostering a cohesive team dynamic. Your role spans the full spectrum of the employee experience. You will be instrumental in evaluating and recognising the contributions of your team, supporting their career trajectories, and championing an inclusive and empowering workplace atmosphere. Next to your team of internal staff you will hire and manage external consultants when internal capacity is insufficient to meet demand.
In this key role, you proactively manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes effective communication with customers, management, and team members, building trusting relationships and ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives.
Leveraging your expertise, you will guide Atradius in applying business architecture and process design practices to scope projects / change accurately. Your determination, and distinctive approach evolves Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture into a critical strategic, tactical, and operational tool. No surprises. You will ensure that Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture is thorough and high calibre, informing executive decisions, optimizing resource allocation and drive business value.
Leadership and directors depend on your team’s impeccable deliverables, results, and insights, delivered with precision and timeliness. Your proficiency in both Architecture (e.g. Archimate, TOGAF, Zachman) and Process design (e.g. Lean, Six sigma) prepares you to guide Atradius through its transition to a versatile, multi-speed operational model.
As a member of the Project & Portfolio Unit’s management team, you will aid your colleagues in their pursuit of excellence and support Atradius in achieving dependable planning and results. Your leadership style, both supportive and focused on outcomes, will set the standard for the new Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture practices. Close cooperation with your peers is in the PPU management team is required. Close cooperation with the manager Portfolio Management & Project Support is needed to prioritise the right projects. Next to this close cooperation with IT enterprise architecture and the Strategy and Corporate Development units are needed.
YOUR KEY ACTIVITIES
- Lead, develop and organise the Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture department, and company wide practice, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Providing planning, recruitment, training and guidance for the right quality and quantity to project managers and heads of departments.
- Increasing the execution power (agility, speed, effectiveness) of projects and the (growth of) maturity of Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture Atradius-wide.
- Leading the architecture development of strategic and high profile programs.
- Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to engage and manage the architecture and process lifecycles.
- Serve as an influential, trusted, and constructive member of the Project & Process Unit (PPU) management team.
- Elevate the professional standards of the team, achieving and sustaining excellence in both Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture
- The selection, implementation, and consistent application of standardised frameworks, practices, and methods to enhance predictability and outcomes.
- Assisting Atradius’s delivery and change teams in embracing and applying these practices and methods.
- Ensure strict compliance with established standards.
- Invest in the growth of team members by providing coaching, mentorship, and support.

Job requirements
Atradius is looking for a candidate who has:
- A demonstrable scientific working and thinking level in a relevant field.
- A proven trackrecord as Sr. Manager Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture, interacting at Board level, preferably within the Financial Services sector.
- Experience with working in a multi-cultural / international environment, with virtual teams. Occasional travel will be required.
- An excellent understanding of Process Design & Business Enterprise Architecture methodologies, tools, and techniques (craftmanship).
- Certifications like TOGAF, Archimate, Zachman, etc.
- Certifications in Lean and Six sigma.
- A demonstrable ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver results in a complex international environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English (mandatory), speaking Spanish and/ or Dutch is beneficial but not a requirement.
- Great collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with working in a DevOps and Agile environment.

Reporting to Atradius CIOO (Chief Insurance Operations Officer), PPU has a leading role in ensuring transformation and change are prioritised and delivered according to expectations, time, budget, and scope. It is PPU’s objective to deliver control, visibility, and transparency over the entire business change portfolio, enabling informed decision making and optimising value delivered in line with the overall Atradius strategy and goals.
PPU’s core activities are:
o Portfolio Management
o Project- and Programme Management, incl. change management and test coordination
o Business Enterprise Architecture

o Product Ownership
o Business Domain Expertise
PPU will be organised in four teams in 2024:

Employment Conditions
Atradius offers you a challenging position in a wonderful company with great social responsibility, in which you can make a big impact. Based on the cv selection, candidates are invited for an exploratory interview with the undersigned. If we then decide together to start the process with Atradius, you can be invited for an interview with the Head of PPU and the Transformation Manager PPU. If the outcome of this interview is positive a second interview will take place with a future peer (member of MT PPU) and the HR business partner. If we continue the process an assessment will follow.
