Senior Manager IT Advisory

As a (senior) manager within Valcon Technology, you will be at the forefront of guiding organizations through significant IT changes and digital advancements. Your role will involve collaborating with C-level executives and IT leaders through analyzing the current state of IT landscapes, defining the future state, and creating road maps develop and implement transformative IT strategies. Drawing on your extensive experience, you will lead and mentor teams, driving successful initiatives that brings tangible value to the clients’ organization.


  • Collaborate with clients to develop and execute strategies in your field, aligned with their business objectives. Analyze the As-Is and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Provide expert advice on design, implementation, and management. Assess and recommend solutions to overcome change resistance, knowledge gaps, technical challenges, and organizational development.
  • Lead the design and implementation of frameworks, best practices, and proven solutions, without losing yourself in theoretical discussions. Always focused on pragmatic, output driven, results.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure trustworthy IT within a business-driven context.
  • Guide clients through transformational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and prepare their staff to deal autonomously with the To-Be state.
  • Lead your programs and projects, overseeing project teams, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Guide your client’s management and C-level teams to be prepared for the To-Be state.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, inside your client’s organization, their suppliers and Valcon.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices. Share knowledge and insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Within the Technology department, Valcon is looking for Senior Managers specialized in either: 1) IT Transformation, or: 2) Enterprise Architecture, or: 3) IT Operations. Valcon believes that technology solutions are a means to reach broader business objectives, including sustainable organizational success. A pragmatic approach is key: being able to identify quick wins and show value early, in parallel with long-term sustainability.

Job requirements

Valcon is looking for a candidate who has:

  • A completed master’s degree;
  • At least 6 years of experience in your field of expertise and consulting, with a track record of successful projects and client engagements;
  • In-depth understanding of industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends in your field of expertise;
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor project teams effectively;
  • Exceptional communication skills. The ability to convince, sell and get support for your idea’s, solutions, and proposals on any seniority level with non-technical backgrounds. Able to communicate effectively with individuals, teams, and large audiences;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and recommend effective solutions;
  • Relevant certifications depending upon your field of expertise;
  • Understanding of business context, business plans, planning cycles, political sensitivities;
  • The ability to align your ideas solutions and with broader business objectives;
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
